I am an “accidental” abstract painter, largely self taught, and still (un)learning.

With messages of affirmation and reminders of resilience, my colorful and bold art tells my story of survived trauma, learned vulnerability, and untethered joy. ⁣

I have always been creative, but like so many others, artistic expression took a backseat to the business of life.

Creativity wove through my childhood, but like many people, my artistic voice grew quiet under the weight of responsibility and expectation. Before returning to painting in my mid thirties, I spent years as a college educator and counseling instructor, working closely with marginalized communities. The work was meaningful, but it left me burned out and far from creative spaces.

When I finally listened to the quiet pull to pick up a paintbrush again, everything shifted. I became what I call an “accidental” intuitive abstract painter, largely self taught and always in the process of unlearning.

I treasure long stretches of solo studio time with music turned up and a little dancing mixed in, but my deepest joy is creating in community- guiding others to uncover their own visual voices.

I believe we are all artists, that creativity is a powerful form of healing, and that making art together can be transformational. I aim to create welcoming spaces for the broken, the brilliant, and the bold, where stories unfold through paint and play.

At the heart of it all, I am here to hold space for joy, connection, and the magic of showing up as your full, authentic self.

I travel the world offering workshops and retreats that allow others to find their own unbridled joy and freedom in paint.
