This isn’t a paint by numbers class. Those serve their purpose, but I don’t want you to paint like me or everyone else. Here you’ll tell your own story and explore your unique style.

Our retreat will sparkle at the fabulous Colony Palms Hotel and Bungalows in Palm Springs, a legendary desert hideaway dripping with retro glamour and lush garden vibes. Just minutes from the heart of town, this boutique oasis is pure magic, with palm trees swaying, mountains glowing in the distance, and color everywhere you look.
Each room is a stylish cocoon of comfort with plenty of space to lounge like royalty. Big windows and patios open to views of turquoise pools, striped umbrellas, and bougainvillea bursting in full bloom. It feels like stepping onto the set of a vintage Hollywood dream.
During your free time you can float in the iconic pool, sip something sparkling under the sun, or strut through the gardens in your favorite caftan. At night the desert sky shimmers with stars while the air buzzes with that one-of-a-kind Palm Springs energy.
The Colony Palms has long been a playground for the glamorous and the fabulous. For our retreat it will be your sanctuary of color, creativity, and campy joy.

When was the last time you painted poolside in a retro desert oasis?
At our Palm Springs retreat, we’ll create together in a private studio and under the open skies of the Colony Palms Hotel. Picture striped umbrellas, turquoise waters, and the mountains standing tall in the background while your creativity flows.
Everything is included. Paints, brushes, mark-making tools, watercolor paper, and canvas will all be provided. You just bring yourself (and maybe a caftan).
We’ll dive into acrylics and mixed media, moving from first marks to finished abstracts. With a mix of playful prompts, embodied practices, and color theory, you’ll learn how to loosen up, layer boldly, and let your instincts guide you. I’ll share tips, techniques, and “rules” - then cheer you on as you break them with flair.
This retreat isn’t about perfection. It’s about quieting your inner critic, embracing the unexpected, and saying yes to messy, magical, instinctual choices. By the end, you’ll walk away with paintings that feel alive and a creative spirit that feels even freer.
Stay
For 4 unforgettable nights, you’ll be wrapped in comfort at the legendary Colony Palms Hotel and Bungalows, an adults only desert hideaway known for its vintage charm, lush gardens, and cinematic mountain views.
The guest rooms are both stylish and welcoming, featuring vintage-inspired furnishings and thoughtful touches. Each one is outfitted with Frette sheets and robes, Le Labo bath products, and Nespresso makers to start your mornings in style.
Across the property, palm trees sway over turquoise pools, striped umbrellas dot the grounds, and every corner feels like it belongs in a classic Hollywood scene. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, sipping cocktails under the bougainvillea, or retreating to your private room, your comfort and inspiration are assured.
Nourishment
On our paint days (Tuesday through Thursday), you’ll be treated to coffee, tea, and light refreshments in the morning, followed by a delicious lunch in the afternoon. Lunches will be provided by The Colony Palm’s acclaimed restaurant, known for its California coastal–inspired cuisine.
The kitchen celebrates the essence of fresh, seasonal fare with ingredients sourced directly from local farms and purveyors. Menus are thoughtfully crafted to accommodate all dietary needs while embracing a modern, elevated approach to California’s vibrant flavors.
Their chef works hand-in-hand with local farmers to create an ever-evolving, seasonally driven menu. Expect dishes that are fresh, colorful, and deeply connected to the spirit of the region - the perfect fuel for your creativity.
Schedule
April 13 (Monday): 4pm check-in and 5pm welcome
After checking in on our first night, we’ll share welcome drinks followed by an opening circle to connect and ground into the experience. Then you can head out to taste Palm Springs’ fabulous dining options, maybe find a drag show nearby, or simply lounge in desert luxury at the hotel.
April 14-16 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday): 9:30am-4:30pm
Paint to your heart’s content, pause for a leisurely lunch, and slip into the pool whenever you need a refresh. When the sun sets, strut out into Palm Springs for dinner and nightlife with your fellow retreaters or keep it cozy back at the hotel.

Flights, dinners, and optional evening activities are not included.
Refund Policy
Please note that any cancellation will result in the forfeiture of payments.
Because of the highly coordinated nature of this retreat, all payments are non-refundable. The only exception is if the retreat sells out and your spot can be filled from the waiting list. In that case, a refund will be issued minus a $250 administrative fee.
